Faith Formation Small Groups

Faith Formation small groups and Joe's Diner are in session this week March 19 & March 21.  Joe's Diner is serving: Hot Dogs with all the fixings and Malt Cups for dessert!

Lenten Soup Suppers & Mass

Join us for a delicious, hart-warming meal followed by soul-warming Mass on Tuesday, March 20. A free will offering is taken to support our local food shelf and a Feed My Starving Children food shipment to Guatemala. Soup Supper starts at 5:15 pm in the Great Hall and Mass is in the Historic Church at 6:30 pm

St. Joe’s Book Sale - We still have books left - So the book sale continues until March 22!

Share the love of reading with our friends living in a Guatemalan City Dump.  All proceeds will go to Believe Guatemala Inc. for the purchase of books for their tutoring program & community center.


Egg Hunt - April 8, 2018 after the 10:00 am Mass

Children aged preschool through 6th grade are invited to participate in this year’s Egg Hunt Sunday, April 8 after the 10 am Mass in the Faith Formation Wing of the building. Pre-registration is not required but participants must check-in before the Egg Hunt Table to receive a special bag to use for the Egg Hunt. Children 6th grade and older are invited to help with the Egg Hunt and will receive a special treat for their efforts. Children in 6th grade have the option to participate in the Egg Hunt or volunteer at the event. All eggs will include treats, some will also include trinkets and special prize tickets to be redeemed at the Egg Hunt prize table. Lots of volunteers are needed to make this event possible. If you are interested in putting treats in the eggs and/or volunteering at the event, please contact Jen Parlin at 651.784.3015 or at as soon as possible.

Summer Festival Planning Meeting- Thursday, March 22 7:00 pm Rooms 105-106

The Summer Festival Committee meets this week to continue making plans for this year's Summer Festival. If you are interested in helping with the planning or possibly taking on a leadership role for one of the many festival areas please join us. All are welcome! Be sure to write in bold letters FESTIVAL WEEKEND on your home calendar. Your parish needs your help the weekend of August 11-12. Volunteer signups are coming soon. For now you can help by remembering St. Joe's Summer Festival and holding the weekend open as you start making summer plans.

Adult Study - Divine Mercy - Starts Tuesday, March 27

Join us for a study on Divine Mercy either Tuesday mornings from 9-10:30 am or in the evenings from 7-8:30 pm starting on Tuesday March 27. Renowned speaker and author Fr. Michael Gaitley tells the dramatic history of God’s love and mercy as interwoven through the transformative message of St. Faustina, the miraculous appearance of Mary at Fatima, the witness of Maximilian Kolbe, and the world-changing papacy of Pope St. John Paul II. Featuring the brilliant cinematic artistry of the Augustine Institute’s film studio, the vast panorama of God’s work of mercy in the world unfolds as a story to be experienced. Theater & Lunch- Wednesday, April 11

Join us for “Drinking Habits” at Daytrippers Theater in Bloomington on April 11 from 11:00 am-4:00 pm. Submit your check (made out to St. Joseph’s) by April 4 of $40 to cover lunch & show to the Parish Office c/o Barb Uschold Anderson.  The enjoyable story revolves around bootlegging nuns on a mission to save their convent. The theater is accessible. Great fun was had at the last show in the fall! We’ll plan to carpool.   Call Barb for more information, 651.784.3015 x112.

Fiesta of Fashion - Saturday, May 12

Clothes and makeup by JCPenny - The fashion show features games, door prizes, Fair Trade Market and goodie bags to take home.  Tickets for the fashion show go on sale mid March. We are looking for models of all ages, if you are interested contact: Denise Walsh at 651-784-3015 x 110.

Sound Board Operators

Have you wondered how to make a difference and be an integral part of Mass here at St. Joe’s? We are looking for Sound Board Operators for all Masses. We will train and if you are interested please contact Andrea Grasse in the parish office at 651.784.3015.
